The position

Electrical power engineering is essential for Equinor to achieve our vision to shaping the future of energy and operating our assets in a safe and efficient way. ​Electrical power engineering contributes to Equinor's transition towards a low-carbon future by supporting our effort to reduce carbon emissions from oil & gas production; and by accelerating the use & development of low-carbon solutions such as electrification, H2 production and carbon capture & storage.

​By joining one of our teams within Electrical Power engineering you may have the opportunity to:

• Work with power system modeling and analysis.

• Assess new technology applicable for the discipline.

Your exact assignment will be decided based on our business needs combined with your field of expertise and interests.

For this position we are looking for those with:

• Currently studying for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record within Electrical Power Engineering.

• Fluent in English.

• No more than two years of relevant full-time work experience.

• Have completed at least two years of higher education before the internship programme starts (23 June 2025).

• Have at least one year of higher education left after the internship programme ends (8 August 2025).

• The interns need to be located in the country where the internship takes place during its entire duration. Equinor does not support any relocation for our summer interns.

• Candidates must have the necessary work permit for the country in which they are applying for a position. The work permits must be valid at the point of application and for the duration of the employment. Please note that Equinor does not support, or sponsor work or visa permits for internship applications.
