Responsibility

The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, testing, calibration, modification, maintenance, inspection repair and troubleshooting of electrical instruments, equipment, devices, controls and machinery used in a public rail transportation system. Candidate must possess the ability to use various electrical and testing devises as well as read and write schematic diagrams. Use basic PC based business software for word processing, email and data entry.

Compensation-

Salary- $27.857 an hour

Education/Experience

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent.

The incumbent must possess a valid CDL-B driver's license free from violations and restrictions. Four (4) years journey-level electrical experience in the maintenance, calibration, testing and installation of (but not limited to) the following types of equipment (normal to high voltage):

  • HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Systems

  • Building and Infrastructure Electrical Wiring (AC and DC)

  • Motors and Control Systems

  • Storage Batteries and Charging Systems

  • Lighting Systems and Timers

  • Generators/transfer switches

    Successful applicants will be allowed up to 6 months from the date of selection to obtain a CDL-B driver's license.

    Selection Method:

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
