Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Must be able to work an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday

  • Current, valid driver’s license

  • Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorizations sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience - 2 years

  • Ability to speak and read Spanish

Working Conditions:

No remote work available. Work is on-site only.

Conditions vary based on the trainee’s current segment of the training and may include warehouse, office, and external environments. Activities may include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office activities may include sitting for extended periods.

Some travel may be required.

Essential Job Functions:

Job Purpose:

Drive sales through prompt response to daily bid and quote requests. Manage orders and provide customers with solutions for technical, logistic and product issues. Responsible for releasing sales invoices and paying vendor invoices in a timely manner. Builds rapport with customers, coworkers and suppliers.

Duties:

  • Take customer orders by listening to and clarifying requests; identifying parts; offering and explaining alternative solutions.

  • Complete sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system; obtaining payment; adding purchase to credit account; issuing sales receipts.

  • Maintain parts inventory by verifying supplies; placing orders when order-points are reached.

  • Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; adjusting inventory system.

  • Receive returned items by inspecting items; returning payment; issuing credit; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged items to supplier.

  • Maintain safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures; complying with codes.

  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Learn sales administration by completing rotation in sales office functions.

  • Learn sales process by completing training program; completing study assignments; hands on with counter and warehouse team

  • Observe sales process by traveling with sales representatives; attending sales and service calls.

  • Practice sales process by calling on existing and then new accounts; adhering to established sales steps.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational improvement opportunities; reading sales and marketing publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in sales and marketing organizations.

  • Learn the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities from District Operations Manager or Profit Center Manager
