Infinite Health Collaborative (iHealth) Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer (Staples - Motley High School or Pillager Hi in Staples, Minnesota

Description Provide athletic training services to student athletes at a north/central Minnesota area High School (Staples- Motley High School or Pillager High School), function as a member of the Twin Cities Orthopedics Outreach Program, and work in clinic (either Physical Therapy setting or Physician Orthopedic Clinic). FT role, work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends out of our Staples location. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions: * Serve as Licensed Athletic Trainer in a clinic setting (Orthopedic Physician Office or Physical Therapy setting) and at High School * Responsible for the assessment, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of acute, chronic, and emergency injuries and illnesses * Refer student-athletes to physician and/or specialists as needed * Documentation of injury management * Provide practice and event coverage * Effective communication with doctors, coaches, parents, administrators, co-workers, and athletes is essential. * Provide and assist in community education as needed * Work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends * Participate in strategy development and implementation of sports performance program growth * Participate in continuing education routinely in order to maintain state licensure while practicing within the scope of MN State rules/regulations * Promote TCO sponsored sports performance events in the community at health fairs and events * Occasionally participate in community functions relating to TCO outreach events throughout the year * Maintain safe work environment for self, staff, and patients * Any and all other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Athletic Training * Possess and maintain Athletic Trainer Licensure with Minnesota Board of Medical Practice * Current CPR certification required Essential Requirements: Ability to: Travel independently throughout the workplace (which may include movement from floor to floor); stand for long periods of time Frequently work at a fast pace, with unscheduled interruptions and deadlines Converse in a calm, friendly manner Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Proficiently operate modern clinic and office (e.g., PC) equipment; and communicate on and operate the phone system.
