Knight-Hennessy Scholars program
TheKnight-Hennessy Scholarsprogram cultivates a diverse multidisciplinary community of emerging leaders from around the world and guides them to collaborate, innovate, and communicate as they prepare to address the complex challenges facing society. Knight-Hennessy Scholars benefit from an experiential leadership development platform, become part of a supportive community of fellow scholars, and receive funding for graduate study at Stanford. The program focuses on broadening knowledge, developing skills, and strengthening character through the King Global Leadership Program, which provides a collection of community experiences, workshops, meetings with leaders, domestic and global study trips, and personal development opportunities.

Under minimal supervision from the Director of Global Admission and Financial Aid and the Associate Director, Admission, administer, implement and interpret university and/or department admission policies and procedures; and build, cultivate, advocate for, respond to, monitor, and grow a digital community on behalf of, and while representing, a department.
Your primary responsibilities and core duties:
Core admissions officer duties (45%)
Read, evaluate, recommend and advocate to the Admission Committee on which graduate applicants to consider for admission based on current university priorities.
Conduct online, on-campus, and off-campus informational sessions throughout the U.S. and the world, embodying the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program for internal and external communities on a variety of subjects including the program’s mission and leadership model, scholar life and programming, scholar funding, and admissions.
Further develop and strengthen relationships with secondary or university personnel, faculty, department contacts, fellowship advisers, professional organizations, current and prospective students, and alumni.
Serve as a resource to other departments; represent Knight Hennessy-Scholars program at activities and events, meetings, committees and conferences.
Act as project manager for recruitment and yield cycles within the larger admission cycle by designing, implementing, overseeing and analyzing recruitment and yield project plans, timelines, tasks, and objectives. (20%)
Produce and curate digital and social media content to engage users, increase user base, and grow channels. Optimize content delivery strategies; build content topics, tailor content to outlet platform, target specific audiences, make editorial decisions, and manage social media listening efforts. (15%)
Serve as primary point of contact for Knight-Hennessy Scholars who volunteer as student admission ambassadors; recruiting, selecting and training student admission ambassadors and coordinating their participation throughout the admissions cycle (10%)
Provide support to customer-facing operations for the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program, including responding to inbound telephone, email, and web-based questions and concerns with accurate and timely information, especially during high-volume periods. (10%)

Minimum requirements (education and experience):
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, current and future trends
Enthusiasm for regularly and consistently producing engaging content on digital platforms

Ability to influence cross-functional groups toward a shared goal
Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
Adaptability to new information, changing conditions, or revised priorities
Facility with data analysis
Certifications and licenses:
Frequently perform desk based computer tasks, seated work and use light/ fine grasping.
Occasionally lift, carry, push pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds
Rarely stand, walk, use a telephone and write by hand.
