NBC Universal Production Events Manager-GOLF in Stamford, Connecticut

The Production Events Manager position reports to the Director of Golf Corporate Events and will be responsible for managing NBC Sports Golf client events and projects on-site at golf events and at our home base (Stamford, CT).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Golf, Corporate Events in planning, execution and post-event reconciliations

  • Manage tickets following NBCU’s Corporate Compliance policy, pro-ams, and honorary observer groups

  • Work with event team to reserve accommodations at various events both domestic and international in partnership with finance and legal

  • Oversee client reservations including restaurant, spa, golf, etc.

  • Create and maintain all event registration sites, including building, event communication, etc.

  • Responsible for ordering, managing inventory, and fulfilling all golf premiums

  • Manage vendor relationships including housing, catering, venue and hotel

  • Coordinates with tournament personnel regarding event planning and transportation event needs

  • Manages within the event budget in coordination with golf leadership and finance. This includes ensuring all costs are reconciled, vendor setups, and invoices/bills are paid on time

  • Manages credentials including requesting, tracking, and distribution, etc. for various partner leagues and events

  • Staff event hospitality suite on-site during events

  • Books flights, rental cars and hotel reservations 

  • Assists Golf Production Manager(s) with day-to-day needs (travel memos, T&E, credentials, booking vendors, hotel contracts) as schedule permits.

  • Executes and publishes the Event Memo which includes that event, housing and transportation logistics 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Communications, Business, related field, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in event management  

  • Proven understanding of the production process (start to finish) involved in Sports Television 

  • Experience in Cvent or other event management platforms

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.) is a plus

  • Must have a proven ability to work effectively with persons at all levels within the internal organization and with those outside of the organization 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time with a strong attention to detail

  • Must be flexible with last minute assignments as well as assignment changes 

  • Able to effectively and quickly problem solve and handle stressful and time sensitive situations

  • Understands the game of golf and key organizations within the industry.
