ManTech is seeking a Project Manager to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL), Science & Technology Division to provide project management and contract support for Space Branch.

MCWL S&T’s portfolio includes projects to support Marine Corps Force Design, assessments, evaluations, and experiments. These projects help inform future requirements, develop tactics techniques and procedures (TTPs), and refine concepts such as Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO) and Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO) Concepts of Operations (CONOPS). Project manager support is needed to enable basic and advanced phases of technology risk reduction/development events and operational objective assessments by MCWL to inform future Naval Programs of Record (PoRs).

The Space Branch Project Manager will support Extended User Evaluations of space related capabilities and the collection of analysis to support DOTMLPF considerations for future PORs.

This role requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage the cost, schedule, and performance of MCWL S&T projects.

  • Provide project support and technical monitoring of work being performed by contractor and government organizations on behalf of MCWL.

  • Supervise the planning and execution of testing, exercises, and experimentation.

  • Identify promising technologies in either government, industry, and/or academia for experimentation.

  • Provide project scheduling, funding, and documentation as required to contribute to coordination and event planning.

  • Travel as required to support S&T Division events and other naval related capabilities technology events.

  • Attend and participate in meetings, briefings, and conferences that inform and shape the development of S&T projects.

  • Support development of Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).

  • Support Marine Corps / Navy experimentation and transition.

Minimum Requirements:

  • US Citizen

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • BA/BS degree from a four-year university or an equivalent combination of education and experience in related field plus 6 years or more related experience

  • Experience in Space Operations, Fires, Intelligence, or Communications related fields

  • Experience with classified program environments for government and industry

  • Demonstrated experience in program / project leadership

  • Proven ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) is critical, as is the ability to professionally prepare and present analytical documents for senior military and defense officials

  • Strong computer skills including demonstrated fluency in all Microsoft programs, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Outstanding initiative, organizational skills, team-oriented mindset and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and diverse environment

Other Skills Preferred:

  • Master’s degree from a four-year university or an equivalent combination of education and experience in related field plus 10 years or more related experience

  • Background in Space Operations (previous DoD experience)

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Marine Corps, its missions, force structure, existing doctrine, and emerging Marine Corps Warfighting Concepts

  • Demonstrated experience working in an engineering or research environment

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
