Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Help Desk Support Specialist I in Stafford, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Help Desk Support I serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or by email.

  • They possess familiarity with the Knowledge Management database and perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions, finding the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.

  • Support personnel walk customers through the problem-solving process and direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

  • They provide accurate information on IT products or services, record events and problems and their resolution in logs, follow up on and update customer status and information, and pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team.

  • They identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures.

  • The Help Desk Support I is a junior role functioning as the initial help desk resource for users requesting IT issue resolution.

  • The Help Desk Support I takes direction from more senior personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of related experience or a Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related discipline.

Minimum Education:

  • HS Degree

Desired Certifications

  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
