Atec, Inc. Mechanical Engineering Intern in Stafford, Texas

SUMMARY

Coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or

electromechanical products and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in Analyzing data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine

feasibility of design or application using CFD, FEA or airflow analysis.

Assist in Designing components of systems such as instruments, controls, engines, machines, and

mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.

Participate in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and

procedures for testing products or systems.

Coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering

design and customer specifications.

Coordinate operations, maintenance, and repair activities.

Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system

malfunctions.

Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work

environment.

Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization

(AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.

Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.

Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.

Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.

Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.

Cooperate with Auditors.

Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Pursuing a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
