Your responsibilities will involve ensuring the efficient execution of complex electronic assembly testing, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for test equipment. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Change Implementation: Implement changes for test equipment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  •  Test Process Maintenance: Maintain and upgrade test processes and equipment, including calibration and variant changes.

  •  Timely Implementation: Implement test equipment promptly to support manufacturing operations.

  •  Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work within a team environment to resolve issues and meet manufacturing goals and milestones.

  •  Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the calibration and maintenance of test equipment, acting as the first responder for breakdowns.

  •  Operator Training: Provide training and support to production operators for effective equipment usage.

  •  Supplier Collaboration: Engage with test equipment suppliers directly to address issues and implement improvements.

  •  IT Systems Maintenance: Maintain and support test and business IT systems.

  •  Documentation Management: Update and create work instructions, risk assessments, and operator training documents.

  •  Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives for test processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

  •  Technical Authority Person (TAP): Serve as the competent person for production, ensuring compliance and safe working practices.

Skills and Experience:

  •  Experience: Significant experience in a manufacturing test environment with knowledge of automated test equipment.

  •  Education: HNC/HND or Engineering Degree in an electrical/electronic-related discipline.

  •  Technical Proficiency: Understanding of test equipment and ability to address technical issues effectively.

  • EHS Compliance: Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety compliance standards.

  •  HVDC Product Testing: Familiarity with HVDC product testing processes is advantageous.

  •  Collaborative Skills: Ability to interact with others, share knowledge, and work effectively within a team.

  •  Additional Skills: Understanding of IT requirements for test system integration, experience with Ni TestStand/LabVIEW, knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods, and familiarity with ISO standards are beneficial.
