Randstad is looking for an experienced CMM programmer for an injection Molding Company in St. Petersburg, FL. This role requires experience with Mitutoyo COMOS CMM Software, however there may be other opportunities for candidates with Calypso or PC-DMIS experience. Responsibilities

  • Inspecting parts to part print specifications and engineering requirements utilizing appropriate inspection methods

  • Capable of operating/programming Mitutoyo CMM computer hardware and software systems running MCOSMOS software

  • Determine part (steel & Plastic) inspection requirements utilizing GD&T, company/customer's drawings, and specifications

  • Generate inspection reports and documentation for quality records

  • Administer and/or edit previously created programs including backing up programs

  • Ensure the part-inspection programs are consistent with part numbers and revision levels and are accurate, including using other inspection methods to verify the CMM programs

  • Analyze and approve (1st pc approval) CNC machine set-ups and inspections paths as needed

  • Operate CMM, OGP (vision system), comparators, mic, calipers, height gages & drop indicators to measure and inspect CNC machined components used in building Plastic Injection Molds

  • Utilize ERP & Microsoft Excel software to input and analyze measurement data

  • Perform inspections using various measurement gauges, OGP Vision systems, height gages, dial indicators, micrometers and 2D Scanning equipment

  • Maintain CMM equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning properly

  • Collaborate with team members to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues
