Visiting Assistant Professor (Developmental Psychology) Psychological Science Description Position Details: Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time, 3-year position of Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Science to begin August 15, 2024. Department Information: The Department of Psychological Science is committed to promoting psychology as a science both for the sake of gaining understanding and for the applications that may emerge as a consequence. For more information, see https://gustavus.edu/psychology/. Things you will do: Teach 7 course sections during the academic year. Typically, 4 in the Fall and 3 in the Spring. Two of the sections in Fall and Spring will be the same course (i.e., two course preparations per semester). Primary teaching responsibilities are child development and will include courses in introductory psychology, statistics, and/or research methods, and courses determined by the candidate's specialty. Develop professional skills by participating in faculty meetings and committees, attending faculty development days, and taking advantage of the College's membership to the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD).
