Registration Specialist 2 Registrar Description JOB SUMMARY: The position's primary purpose isto assist the Registrar and Assistant Registrar in managing the major functions of the office in a timely and effective manner, including the registration of students, maintenance of academic records, course scheduling, athletic eligibility, data reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse. This position will provide front line friendly, engaged customer service to all college stakeholders. Employment Type: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Benefits-Eligible, Non-exempt (Hourly) MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with faculty department chairs, the Provost's Office and the Registrar to develop, build, publish and process changes for the master class schedule for each academic term (Fall, Spring and Summer) Work with faculty, department chairs, Deans, and the Registrar to enter building and classroom assignments, resolve rooms conflicts and process room changes for the master schedule Continuously monitor for registration issues such as prerequisite completion, part time and overload statuses and communicate information to students and appropriate offices. Verify and report athletic eligibility information according to the published schedule. Continually monitor athlete schedules for changes impacting eligibility. Compile and report student enrollment, graduation information and student withdrawals to National Student Clearinghouse according to the published schedule Process office forms such as degree audit substitutions, drop/add and special permission to register Review and process language and equivalency exam placement. Process language waivers for international and accommodated students. Ability to prioritize and perform required volume of work in a timely manner with few or no errors and maintain sensitivity for confidentiality of information. Assist with office functions like answering phones, processing mail and responding to counter requests for information and assistance from all college stakeholders. Contribute to a favorable working climate by engaging in a friendly, pleasant, and businesslike manner. Willingly assist others as necessary to keep work current or spread workload equitably. Performance of all other duties as assigned to assist the Registrar and Assistant Registrar in managing the functions of the office.
