PAUL, MN McGough Construction, an ENR Top 100 General Contractor specializing in Commercial Building, Manufacturing and Construction Management is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Manager position. The VDC Manager is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, management, and execution of VDC and BIM processes, tools and standard work for assigned projects. The VDC Manager may also be required to provide marketing and estimating support. Qualifications: Required: BS degree from accredited college/university focusing on Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or equivalent AEC industry experience. Minimum 5 years of experience, planning and executing BIM and VDC at the project level. Demonstrates strong VDC acumen. Strong knowledge of current construction delivery methods, practices, and documentation. Strong understanding of building system types and construction sequencing. Experience managing and/or training less experienced VDC staff on VDC tools and workflows. Capacity and eagerness to educate staff outside the VDC department on VDC-related tools and workflows. Advanced level competency using BIM authoring software such as Revit. Advanced level competency using 3D coordination software such as Revizto and Navisworks. Ability to actively listen, mentally visualize and then produce detailed 2D, 3D, 4D or 5D deliverables for use by internal and external clients. Powerful desire to learn, apply and train new processes, technologies and methodologies that promote the use of BIM, VDC and a LEAN culture. Self-motivated and efficient at working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Detail-oriented and able to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously without direct supervision. Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and written/verbal communication skills. Preferred: Ability and experience setting up and managing projects in Revizto. Experience in the planning & execution of laser scanning, the associated processing, and deliverable creation from the data. Part 107 certification a plus. Experience leveraging drones and associated software to create valuable deliverables for the project team. 360 photo platform experience. Understanding & educating on best practices for capturing and accurate progress tracking. 4D/5D Phasing modeling and animation creation using Fuzor, Synchro Pro or similar software. Experience creating and collaborating with protect teams on virtual mockups. Programming experience using Dynamo, Python, or similar tools. Responsibilities and Tasks: Collaborate with internal project teams, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to help develop and to execute BIM Execution Plans (BEP). Develop 3D models for Site Logistics and 4D phase planning for VDC-related marketing efforts. Develop 3D models for virtual mock-ups and 3D Coordination efforts. Actively promote the value of VDC with both internal and external customers. Manage and facilitate 3D Coordination with design disciplines, subcontractors, and fabricators on small to mega scale projects. Create 2D/3D/4D/5D deliverables using VDC software such as Revit, Navisworks, Sketchup, Bluebeam, and Fuzor. Assist VDC Manager or above in the planning of VDC scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects. Assist project teams by utilizing BIM for visualization, constructability reviews and coordination. Train project team members as needed on the access and use of VDC deliverables & BIM-related tools. Actively contrib te VDC lessons learned from projects assigned. Practice and support continuous improvement in VDC and throughout company processes. Work on projects inside and outside of regional office as needed. Assist in the management & improvement of VDC content libraries and Standard Work documentation. Developing content to support marketing/pursuit teams as needed. Office and Travel: Primarily works out of the McGough St. Paul, MN office location. Must be willing and able to travel to project jobsites as needed. Some projects may require full or part-time onsite presence.
