This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.
This position provides professional planning support and analysis related to asset management, performance measures, and capital investments. Work will include development of the Transportation Asset Management Plan, the 10-year Capital Highway Investment Plan, 20-year State Highway Investment Plan, and other related planning studies, capital programs, and performance reports. This position carries out research, analysis, and outreach in support of agency initiatives to advance performance-based planning and capital investment planning.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of professional transportation planning experience that demonstrates:
Experience with planning principles, methods, and techniques.
Experience with statistical analysis with spreadsheet or database applications.
Experience applying the theory and practice of public engagement.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, Political Science substitutes for one year of professional transportation planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in the application of GIS to planning, research and analysis.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications (InDesign & Illustrator).
