Your team This is an onsite position Require work in a clean room environment wearing special garments and PPE (e.g. scrubs, hair bonnets, frocks, hoods, masks, gloves, safety glasses) based on the Class level for each Clean Room. This job also involves hazardous materials and hazardous waste responsibilities which include understanding and following hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulations for job duties such as: proper handling, storage, hazardous waste in-house treatment using neutralization and dilution systems, and labeling requirements for hazardous materials and hazardous waste. Additional time may be needed based upon business demands What you'll be doing Leads Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams in meeting commitments across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Supervises the daily manufacturing and supply chain operations across a department or multiple departments/shifts. Responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of staffing requirements, budgets, costs, methods, labor efficiency, scrap, volume and associated critical metrics. Develop, implement, and execute strategic process in Manufacturing and Supply Chain in support of short- and long-term business objectives Identify business critical issues and continuous improvement opportunities in Supply Chain and Manufacturing and facilitate discussion and decision making in support of goals and objectives Prepare budgets and forecasts and maintain expenses within plan for functional areas. Identify and prioritize resources necessary to meet budget. Develop and manage working relationships with both internal Baxter functions and suppliers to manage resolution of supplier issues. Responsible for optimizing inventory- minimize excess and obsolete inventory through product life cycle management. Interview, hire, coach, motivate, develop, recognize and manage performance of direct reports. Provide regular feedback, set performance objectives, support development plans and monitor progress. Support direct supervisors in these areas for indirect reports. Ensure adherence to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements. Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) What you'll bring Requires a Bachelor's degree, from an accredited institution, preferably in a technical discipline such as Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or other relevant technical subject area. 8-10 years of experience in all aspects of the manufacturing process in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or comparable environment. MBA or APICS certification preferred Demonstrated commitment to driving a culture of Safety and Quality. A ility to interpret and analyze statistical data and information and financial reports, understand and resolve technical difficulties, work with internal engineering/technical experts and external technical representatives, manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing plant setting, be resourceful to a large manufacturing department. Strong leadership skills for direct and indirect reports as well as leading departmental and cross-functional projects. Strong communication skills (with staff, peers, and upper management) and ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and Supply base Ability to embrace change, challenge status quo and make recommendations for improvements to products and processes. Creates tools that help simplify job tasks and shares these with others Requires the ability to influence the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations Strong problem solving, negotiating, solutions orientation and presentation skills Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought, think systemically, and analyze tradeoffs between objectives Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings. Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for minimum of 8 hours, with breaks provided throughout the shift Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds individually or up to 65 pounds as part of a team lift. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 - $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
