Description Provides support to the payroll and benefits function within the Human Resource department. This position is expected to maintain and promote excellent customer service while handling administrative payroll duties including data entry, working with managers and employees regarding their time records and paychecks, and assisting with running the payroll and ensuring all processes and procedures are carried out in accordance with defined criteria. This position must have the ability to back up the Payroll Specialist by running biweekly payroll independently as needed. Under the direction of the Lead Benefits and Payroll Specialist, this position also supports the benefits function including administering employees benefit changes. Qualifications Required: Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience Three years of payroll experience Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and Word High degree of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to deal with all levels of staff and management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to function under pressure, conflicting priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to produce error-free work Demonstrated ability to multi-task, seek out internal and external data/resources, prioritize, and apply critical thinking Ability to problem-solve and address customer concerns independently and with appropriate demeanor Preferred: CPP designation Payroll experience in a healthcare environment Experience working with electronic HRIS and Timekeeping systems.
