Description Lutheran Social Service MN is a dynamic social service organization serving children, youth and families, people with disabilities, older adults and military veterans. Primary Responsibilities for this position include: Provide day-to-day helpdesk-based troubleshooting and technical support for LSS staff in support of agency services. Configure, manage, and maintain workstation hardware, operating systems, and connectivity used by LSS staff and functional areas. Manage and maintain desktop application software. Perform other projects as assigned. Provide workstation-related technical expertise to a state-wide network comprised of over 2500 staff at 13 networked and over 200 standalone sites. This includes approximately 1000 mobile (laptop) staff. Staff connect to the network in a variety of ways which adds significant complexity to the support function. Job Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak and hear Ability to respond in a timely manner Professional and respectful representative of LSS to internal and external people of various backgrounds, titles, organizations, and at differing locations Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills are required Physical dexterity is necessary to type, use a computer and other equipment, as well as use the telephone. Must be able to lift 5-20 lbs regularly Must have good problem solving and decision-making skills The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers' license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
