This position supports all Shermco branches on new equipment sales for motors, drive and other equipment.SUMMARY: Main contact for incoming phone calls / e-mails from customers on new equipment. Calls can vary from part # needed to figuring out what the customer needs based on description or application. Often trying to find something readily available for break down situations. Sometimes time-consuming doing research in old catalogs & or online. This position will report to the Director of New Equipment sales.J ob Responsibilities:Provide technical support for existing customers motor applications.Provide technical assistance to outside salespersons calling in from the road.Provide technical and pricing support for the repair shop on replacements of unrepairable products.Provide detailed quotes for incoming new equipment requests.Develop solutions to customer challenges.Work directly with product vendors on pricing programs and inventory.Assist in management of inventory based on the companies plan and goals.Assist in monthly forecasting for New Equipment.Work directly with the new equipment product director on company initiatives and pricing programs.Uses technical knowledge along with interpersonal skills to understand customer`s issues and propose solutions.Maintain a general knowledge of our vendor's product offerings and the advantages and differences in what they supply.General Admin Duties:Generate quotes in sales force for incoming new equipment requests.Open and generate sales orders and jobs in business central.Be aware and maintain profitability through orders and quotes.Generate daily and weekly stock reports for the sales groups.Attend weekly new equipment team's work in process meetings and provide updates to the team on status of all open sales orders and Jobs.Process sales orders for billing and work with the regional billing lead to ensure all competed sales orders and jobs for the month are completed for the billing period.Attend weekly collections update meeting with Shermco accounting for Dept. 40IRV.Contact customers by phone and email for payment status of past due Dept. 40IRV invoices.Assist Sales and Accounting with gathering/sending paperwork to set up new customer accounts.Assist Sales and Accounting with gathering/sending paperwork to set up new vendor accounts.Answer customer and SI salesperson emails and calls (general and invoicing questions)Assist with monitoring the MSD Orders.com inbox for customer purchase orders.Minimum Qualifications:5 Plus years in inside / outside sales of industrial equipment including electric motors.Knowledge of electric motors, power transmission, and/or variable frequency drives is a big plus.Understanding of electric motor design, operations, and applications.Applied knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Salesforce.Strong communication skills, professionalism, willingness to learn, work as a team player and have organization l skills.Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial technology a plus or equivalent experience in a technical position.Military technical experience a plus.
