Regions Hospital Charge Registered Nurse - Mental Health in St. Paul, Minnesota

Regions Hospital has a great opportunity to join our nursing team as a Charge RN in Mental Health to work with an incredible team of people who have a passion for caring for others! Northeast 4 has 18 private rooms/bathrooms (some handicapped accessible), two jail cells, separate dining and day room space, a spacious group room, a comfort room, and open areas for visiting and relaxing. In addition, patients have access to a large activity room and secured outdoor space. Patients on this unit are 18 years and older and are experiencing an acute mental health illness with high acuity and requiring intensive care. In addition, our patients may have medical/surgical conditions that are being treated and require intervention. At Regions, we believe that mental health is as important to overall well-being as physical health. We are working to remove the stigma that surrounds mental illness so everyone can get the treatment they need. Regions Hospital is a leader in mental health. We are the largest provider of inpatient mental health services in the east metro. We treat all mental illnesses in adults at our state-of-the-art facility which means we can provide comprehensive, personalized care for all our patient's needs, no matter how complex. Work Schedule: 0.80 FTE (0.70 as Charge RN, 0.10 as Floor RN). Day shifts. Every other weekend. All 8 hour shifts. Required Qualifications: *Degree in Nursing *Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota *CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications: *BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire *Two (2) years experience in area of specialty preferred at 0.8 FTE, or above (minimum of 3328 hours).
