Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association Care Services Equipment Lead in St. Paul, Minnesota

By leading the way in global research, providing assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships, The Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure. POSITION SUMMARY: Work with Care Services team in their efforts to provide programs and services to the ALS community. Specifically, this position plays a critical role in our Durable Medical Equipment Loan Pool program. This is a hybrid position requiring some work to be completed in an ALS Association office/loan pool location and some remote. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In partnership with the Care Services equipment manager, co-manage all aspects of the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Loan Pool Process invoices for DME and address any discrepancies with loan pool vendors. Work with other CS Staff/Volunteers at an off-site location preparing equipment item requests for people with ALS. Work with therapists to identify proper equipment for individuals with ALS and complete all necessary documentation to ensure equipment can be delivered in a timely fashion. Field questions via phone or email related to DME Loan pool. Remotely manage DME inventories at six different locations with CS staff; work with CS staff to complete yearly on-site inventories. Provide all documentation necessary and complete reporting requirements for audit preparations. Document in electronic data base. Process equipment donations. Be knowledgeable about ALS Association programs and services for people with ALS and their families. Co-manage volunteers who support the equipment loan program Maintain client confidentiality. Share program highlights with program donors, ALS Association staff, and community. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, or similar job experience preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a range of people including, but not limited to, the Care Services Team, ALS community, volunteers and other departments to meet organization goals and objective. Detail oriented, organized and ability to troubleshoot as appropriate. Familiarity with ALS and progressive disability conditions and their impact on independence. .Ability to communicate with program recipients, caregivers, and team members directly and virtually. Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a database system. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent customer service skills. Experience with and knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment. Proven ability to partner with outside vendors/entities to implement program. Ability to work independently; must be a self-starter. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Office products. Experience in Salesforce. Ability to travel on ALS Association business as required or requested. Pay Transparency: The ALS Association's pay range for this positionis $41,496 - $46,496annually. The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. The above-listed listed range shows prospective compensation for this role; the appropriate range will be established by what is eventually determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work ocation, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer. The Association may, at its discretion, offer merit-based increases tied to individual performance. The benefits listed may differ depending on employment status with the Association.
