Regions Hospital Business Operations Supervisor, Operating Room in St. Paul, Minnesota

Join our Operating Room team as Business Operations Supervisor in a Level I Trauma Center! The Supervisor Business Operations works onsite to provide leadership, direction, organization and working administration of daily business processes including, but not limited to: Admitting, surgery scheduling, staff scheduling, surgical services unit support, surgical charge reconciliation and revenue capture Hires, trains, directs, assists and closely monitors the work of all surgical support staff, occasionally working in the supervised functions across all scheduled shifts Assists in the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures Will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Surgical Services Strategic Plan, goals and functions With a thorough knowledge of administrative operations, recommends and implements changes to improve service delivery Performs other related duties as assigned At Regions Hospital you'll find a warm, diverse group of people who are committed to helping our patients - and each other. Hours are Monday - Friday days. No weekends or nights required. Due to the nature of the work, this role will be fully onsite. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of two years of college OR seven years of clerical/administrative experience Five years of clerical/administrative experience required CPR certification required at time of employment and every two years thereafter Preferred Qualifications: Two years of supervisory experience Baccalaureate degree in business or a related field Familiarity with medical terminology Knowledge/Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, with extensive experience in the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to make decisions with minimum supervision. Ability to assess, analyze and evaluate administrative processes. Ability to create and present proposals for recommendations for process improvement. Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Project management skills; ability to identify, recommend, implement, and provide ongoing analysis of effectiveness Ability to relate to management, physicians, co-workers and the public in a positive, pleasant manner, even in stressful situations Ability to manage/handle stress well Knowledge of the current specialized OR computer system Epic.
