Administrative Assistant ID 2023-1910 Position Number OSP134 # of Openings 1 Category Human Kinetics and Applied Health Science Type Part-Time FLSA Status Non-Exempt Months per year 12 Job Summary Provide administrative support, coordination and day-to-day management to the Department of Applied Health Sciences personnel. Additional tasks include early student academic/registration advising and providing abbreviated tours for admissions and other guests, greeting and directing visitors for the assessment lab. Primary preferred Working Geniuses include enablement and tenacity, secondary preferences are galvanizing and discernment. Must have Google platform expertise (drive, docs, sheets, etc.). Responsibilities Assist with scheduling classes and submitting instructor loads. Coordinate arrangements for meetings and conferences, make travel arrangements, and process expense reports. Provide other standard administrative responsibilities to assist with day-to-day operations of the HAS department including receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and processing outgoing mail; answering questions or taking action personally, or triaging requests as appropriate; assisting with department communication and correspondence; and, overseeing department records and other materials as directed. Assist with budget activity including managing purchase orders, contacting distributors, and managing fees/expenses. Assist with inventorying, organizing, scheduling, setting up, and cleaning lab spaces. Assist in answering questions and performing academic advising for incoming and first/second year students on advising day and during the semester. Assist in answer admissions and guests tours, questions and visits. Contact equipment companies and assist in troubleshooting or turning on/off equipment in the lab spaces.
