Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. Accounts Receivable Clerk in St. Paul, Minnesota

Process all aspects of accounts receivable and customer service information, including daily accounting, recording and maintenance of accounts receivable, cash application, reconciling customer accounts, analyzing remittance information to apply customer payments accurately, and preparing electronic payment detail for processing. Applies daily cash that is received through lockboxes and other means to customer accounts, utilizing applicable accounts receivable systems. Processes remittance information and reviews instructions accompanying items to determine proper application to reconcile customer accounts accordingly. Initiates communication with internal and external accounting personnel to resolve customer account issues and discrepancies. Works with Credit to maintain electronic payment (EFT) spreadsheet and notify customers of upcoming payments. Posts manual invoices to customer accounts. Monitors, processes, and eliminates appropriate chargebacks and unapplied cash from customer accounts. Maintains accounts receivable procedure manual. Assists and supports Credit department with projects and duties as needed. Keep supervisor informed of activities that may require his/her attention. Education & Experience; High school diploma (or equivalent) plus one year of related order-to-cash experience is required. One year of post-secondary education with emphasis on business and/or accounting related discipline is preferred.
