    About the Job

    Oversees, coordinates, and evaluates all supply chain and logistic activities, such as production planning, forecasting, material procurement, reserve acquisitions, inventory control, warehousing, rate setting, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Directs, plans, develops, establishes, and implements organization's supply chain policies, strategies, objectives of functions, and initiatives, keeping in line with organization goals and objectives.

  • Monitors supply chain projects to ensure that they are on time and within budgetary controls. Establishes, analyzes, and coordinates departmental budget estimate, and controls expenditures to administer approved budget.

  • Communicates with executives of supply chains and potentially new supply chains and maintains involvement in supplier and vendor negotiations.

  • Collaborates with the operations and production teams to develop effective inventory management and cost reduction activities. Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to capture right customer demand and sales forecast and balance supply and demand.

  • Creates a strong procurement team to develop vendor management and supply optimization initiatives.

  • Monitors the scheduling of deliveries to prevent excess stock or backorders.

  • Ensures that departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of processes and systems.

  • Directs maintenance of records and data essential to material programs including materials resource planning.

    Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field is required. An MBA is a preferred.

  • Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience required plus five or more years of leadership experience.

  • Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required.

  • Knowledge: ERP, TMS, and WMS systems experience is a plus.

  • Skills: Requires strong interpersonal skills, solid judgment, excellent written and oral communication skills with individuals at varying levels in the organization, strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as financial acumen.

  • Abilities: Organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work effectively with other executives internally and with third-party partners, business travel as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
