Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction progress, quality control, and a clean site
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including budget, schedule, logistics, and material procurement
  • Report to and work in partnership with the Project Manager to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and that meets cost and time requirements of project
  • Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with other members of the project team regarding job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction of the project
  • Complete daily reports, including progress photos, maintain a three-week lookahead schedule, and distribute lookahead schedule to subcontractors
  • Promote positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with the project team and all subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and owners
  • Manage job site set up and close out, including ordering job site materials, installing security system, completing punchlist items, and inventorying excess tools and supplies
Skills and Education
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with a general contractor
  • Experience with multifamily housing and specifically affordable housing is preferred
  • OSHA certification
  • Proficiency in reading constru tion drawings and specifications
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possesses strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite as well as Procore
Working Environment

Work is based in various job sites around the Midwest. Traveling may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

Company provides competitive salary ($85k - $125k, dependent on experience), health, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance, and a company match on a 401K.
