Bunzl Distribution’s Corporate IT staff is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations – Business Success to lead the Enterprise Server and Data/Voice teams. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading and managing daily service availability/stability, incident resolution, system integrations and service continuity of Server/Compute and Data/Voice platforms. The Data/Voice and Server/Compute teams are accountable for maintaining hardware, operating systems, and inter-connected environments at the maximum level of availability. The Senior Manager is responsible for providing professional development, training, and annual performance evaluations for all team members. The Senior Manager maintains architecture and security standards, documentation, and budgetary alignments to ensure delivery of long-term business and enterprise architecture goals.

The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Operations – Business Success reports to the Director, Infrastructure Operations – Site Services & Business Success

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the daily delivery and support of IT Infrastructure services with the highest possible level of system reliability, availability, and stability.

  • Lead and manages 10+ Server/Compute and Data/Voice engineers providing on-call, foundational server/compute, hardware break/fix, inter-connectivity, and troubleshooting services to Bunzl’s diverse business unit locations.

  • Ensures operational compliance and alignment with Bunzl’s global standards.

  • Provide technical leadership to continual service/process improvement opportunities and advancement of Bunzl’s enterprise reference architectures.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of operational processes and practices with ongoing documentation of enterprise architectures, site diagrams, system landscape architectures and logical platform performance data.

  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure peers and leadership on lifecycle management of responsible systems and platforms.

  • Partner with peers and project teams on resource allocation alignment to deliver business goals.

  • Deliver recurring status reports of system health and areas of concern for consideration.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles.

  • Prior experience leading diverse technology teams is a plus.

  • Excellent partnering skills.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Enterprise-level service delivery experience.

  • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communications with ability to adjust to broad audiences.

  • Ability to travel (20%).
