Siemens Digital Industries Software Senior DevOps Architect - REMOTE in St. Louis, Missouri

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Architect role hands-on experience with Kubernetes technology. Person would be responsible for design, automate and deployments on specific cloud platforms/container platforms, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle.

Responsibilities :

  • Designing, building and maintaining Containerized Cloud hosted SaaS solutions

  • Building Monitoring, logging, alerting around infrastructure and applications

  • Improving the reliability of SaaS Solution and CI/CD pipelines

  • Putting everything as code

  • Working in close collaboration with multi-functional teams

  • Participate in continuous improvement of architecture, infrastructure, processes including influence on the future direction and technology used for development

  • Participate in scrum planning and tracking including task investigation, work breakdown and estimation

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience :

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (Master / Bachelor level); Experience 6 years to 12 years

  • 2-4 years hands-on experience on Kubernetes based container platforms (i.e., Openshift, AWS EKS, Azure AKS)

  • Strong knowledge of systems (Linux, GNU tooling), networking (OSI model, DNS, routing) and virtualization vs containerization

  • Security & Compliance awareness

  • ​Hands-on experience with InfraAsCode & Configuration tools (Ansible, Terraform)

  • Public clouds; AWS/Azure/GCP

  • Openshift or Kubernetes certification preferred (CKAD/CKA)

  • Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) certification preferred

The total cash compensation range for this position is $135,700 to $271,400 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
