Basic Job Functions:

St. Louis Cold Drawn is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Electrical/Automation Engineer. The primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting and correcting electrical and automation related issues on production lines

  • Perform scheduled preventative electrical maintenance tasks

  • Initiate and drive the design and installation for all projects related to electrical/automation upgrades on plant equipment and production lines

  • Assist in tracking, organizing and maintaining electrical/automation spare parts and inventory

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates electrical technical degree or 4 years industrial electrical experience.

  • Extensive experience in automation (PLCs, Drives, Control Circuit Wiring) programming and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and process flow diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PLC Skills in AB Control Logix 5000/500, Siemens STEP 7, etc...)

  • AC/DC Drive experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc)

  • Experience reading hydraulic diagrams and troubleshooting hydraulic systems.

  • Theoretical and working knowledge of the Cold Finish process.
