    About the Job

    This position is accountable for storeroom leadership which includes setting inventory control policies/procedures, managing to annual expenditure and KPI targets, developing personnel, and pursuing the department's strategic vision. The individual will support all Mississippi Lime locations while developing strong relationships across operations departments, maintenance departments, and suppliers.

    Requirements

  • Education: Four-year degree in engineering, business or related field strongly preferred. Experiences may be substituted for education requirements.

  • Experience: Ten years of cross-functional manufacturing experience or five years in inventory management. Support manufacturing functions and experiences will be considered. Strong candidates will possess ISM or APICS (ASCM) certification.

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of automated purchasing and inventory management systems such as ERP, WMS, and associated maintenance systems. Individual will possess general knowledge of purchase to pay and manufacturing process flows.

  • Skills: Proven analytical capabilities for data-driven decision making, internal and external negotiating skills, and a communication style that is adaptable based on stakeholder.

  • Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage and influence employees to get results across salaried and hourly personnel. Ability to plan strategically and act tactically to produce desired outcomes. Must be able to work effectively in a matrix reporting environment.

  • Behaviors: Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Concise written and oral communication with high emotional intelligence.

    Essential Functions

  • Leadership and performance management of reporting personnel determines job duties and assignments making changes in line with business needs.

  • Develops and maintains a 3-year rolling strategic plan for the department, granular to strategic action plans by site. This includes developing and stewarding key performance indicators.

  • Sets, manages and enforces the policies and procedures for receiving and storing all parts and supplies. Assures that all materials, inventory and expensed, are handled, stored and assigned correctly.

  • Reviews and manages inventory decisions, recommending conversion to and from inventory/expense accounts to minimize inventory with the goal to maintain flat to down inventory in repair parts and process materials.

  • Manages inventory accuracy tools, reporting and cycle counts. Develops and maintains inventory positions by plant and/or asset

  • Makes intentional efforts to centralize all material activities across plants while promoting investment recovery (scrap) and sustainability.

  • Uses strong analytical and continuous improvement skills to advance staging, kitting, and assignment/return of inventory.

  • Position may travel up to 25%. Multiple days a week in Sainte Genevieve are expected should the position be based in Sunset Hills.

  • Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.
