Peoples Health Centers Family of Companies Intake Coordinator Adult in St. Louis, Missouri

ALM Hopewell Center is hiring for a Clinical Intake Coordinator. In addition to the duties listed, all opportunities require a passion to serve the community. This person provides initial contact with all clients, which may include the following: Provide initial interview with all clients, either self-referred or professionally referred. Implement a wide variety of psychological interventions to meet clients’ immediate or urgent needs, including crisis management, providing referrals, problem solving, and mental health case management. Determine client’s status, needs, and diagnostic impression (when possible). All services provided will be person-centered and culturally competent. Intake Coordinator must demonstrate patience with clients, be aware of culturally appropriate behavior and its effects on the responses of his/her clients, and be flexible according to the needs of the client. The Clinical Intake Coordinator provides an advanced level of mental health treatment to individuals in need of community mental health support. Primary duties include: • intake assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention and assessment; • diagnostic impressions using the DSM-V; • short-term stabilization, linking/coordination and • additional case management services as needed. The incumbent develops strategies to meet the needs of a diverse population and works with internal and external team members to accomplish goals. Requirements: Masters Degree Preferred from accredited college or university, LCSW or LPC Preferred, 2-3 years in a mental health setting.
