Kelly Services Food Quality Technician in Hazelwood, Missouri

SUMMARY:

As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our product quality standards. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your career, we have opportunities available at different levels.

JOB DETAILS:

Pay Rate: $24-$27 per hour

Hours: 2:00 PM-12:00 AM (midnight)

Schedule: 4x10 hour days (No nights on Fridays)

Location: St. Louis, MO

DUTIES:

Level 1 Technician:

  • Develop and implement calibration procedures for quality instrumentation equipment

  • Maintain quality instrumentation equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results

  • Lead the team in working with documentation and regulatory requirements to maintain quality standards

  • Mentor and train lower-level technicians to ensure consistency in quality control procedures

Level 2 Technician:

  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints

  • Conduct long term projects and tests to improve products

  • Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance policies to meet industry standards

  • Maintain quality control documentation including SOPs and work instructions

Level 3 Technician:

  • Perform quality checks on products and raw materials

  • Microtesting of products to ensure microbiological safety and quality

  • Assist in maintaining quality control equipment and lab

  • Work with the team to implement corrective actions based on testing results

  • Follow standard operating procedures for Quality/Food Safety Department

Sampling Technician:

  • Batch processing background preferred

  • Basic lab skills

  • Measures bricks & PH levels

  • Detail-oriented

  • Basic math skills

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in relevant field or 5+ years of experience in Food & Beverage

  • HAACP & SQF certification is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary
