Copeland Financial Systems Administrator in St. Louis, Missouri

This position provides functional support for users of Copeland’s Financial Reporting, Consolidation and Analytical System, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDMEE), Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), Hyperion BI+, Hyperion Planning and Essbase and Smart View (Excel Add-in). The primary responsibility of the group is to support Copeland’s global consolidation and reporting process. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Lease Accelerator sub system for ASC 842 reporting and maintaining and administrating the Fastpath software for the Segregations of Duties (SOD) requirements for Oracle EBS software.

As a Financial Systems Administrator, You Will:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional user issues and work with the IT department to address issues that might require technical attention.

  • Support the close and reporting processes and perform monthly system maintenance cycles.

  • Understand existing business processes supported by Emerson’s Hyperion applications.

  • Understand financial consolidations accounting, including complex intercompany activity, eliminations, and foreign currency translation.

  • Assist with helpdesk tickets received through the ServiceNow tracking software.

  • Identity and report critical system issues to Hyperion technical team and the Hyperion end-user community.

  • Assist users with Smartview functionality including ad hoc and formula driven spreadsheets

  • Manage new FDMEE locations and migrate to locations to auto load direct connect.

  • Create or modify Hyperion Financial Reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio.

  • Develop, update and conduct Hyperion training to users globally.

  • Maintain users security in Copeland’s Hyperion system(s) utilizing approved Business unit workflow request while maintaining required control protocols.

  • Assist Administrative team with development, maintenance and testing of all technical aspects (Metadata, Calculations and Business Rules) of HFM, FDMEE, Hyperion Planning and Essbase, Financial Reporting and Smart View.

  • Participate in integration and implementation of additional tools in the Copeland suite of Hyperion financial products as projects are identified.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of all consolidation and finance reporting systems

  • Participate and support future cloud migration project for Copeland consolidation system

  • Update exchange rate and IBR requirements in the system

  • Assist with help desk tickets to resolve end-user issues

  • Maintain business rules to support SOD requirements

  • Work with Audit and Oracle Flora team, as needed

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours:

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

  • 3 or more years of relevant financial accounting experience with experience in financial consolidation system(s)

  • Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and/or SQL required

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States- Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Extensive working knowledge of Hyperion System Version 11 applications, including Hyperion Financial Management, Financial Data Quality Management, Hyperion Planning and Essbase, Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View. Other consolidation system experience will be considered.
