RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arranges schedules and regulates flow of work within or between nits or businesses.
  • Checks Master schedule and work orders, establishes priorities, and changes schedule according to projects, work orders specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers , parts, material, machines and equipment.
  • Distributes work orders denoting number, type, and proposed completion date.
  • Reschedule identical processes to eliminate duplicates setups
  • Confers with supervisor to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from the methods of engineering departments.
  • Compiles reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise planning personnel of delays
  • May maintain inventory of equipment, materials, and parts needed to complete production
  • May expedite and establish delivery dates for spare parts orders
  • May use computer system to track schedule, work progress and locate production units.
  • Completes the logging of jobs on production floor into ERP system.
  • Research and locates missing jobs.
  • Spends 80-90% of day out on production floor.
  • Helps maintain work center common areas by organizing incoming work and moving outgoing work to next work center.
  • Conducts shop floor walks in designated areas to ensure jobs are progressing.
  • Process Non-conformance paperwork including re-allocation of job cost.

  • This position works in a manufacturing environment.
  • This position operates in a shop floor and office environment.
  • Involves: long periods of shop floor activities, frequent stooping, and bending
