The Plant Clerk role is based in St. Johnsville, NY and supports our St. Johnsville and Poland locations. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

What you’ll get to do

  • Scale operation for weighing company, customer, and 3 rd party trucks

  • Process vendor invoices and purchase orders

  • Provide administrative support for plant management

  • Compile, enter, and report payroll and production statistics

  • Track finished goods inventory, equipment utilization, plant costs, and labor hours

  • Purchase parts and safety supplies

  • Maintain fuel inventory and equipment downtime reports

  • Month end accruals and reporting

  • Process personnel changes and maintain files

  • Timekeeping in Kronos

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Intermediate or greater proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and the flexibility to adapt to changing business situations

  • Ability and motivation to meet the requirements of the job, which may include extended hours and irregular schedules

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • High School Diploma

  • Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
