The role
The Quality Manager will provide senior level expertise to the manufacturing sites quality organization. This leadership role has oversight of functions and activities that affect product quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement initiatives.
How youll make an impact
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, harmonizing regional and global quality requirements.
Oversee the site quality organization, including the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001 certification, customer complaint process, and quality control/governance.
Understand business strategy and site initiatives, acting as a change agent to drive continuous improvement across the production site and quality system.
Lead by example in a values-based culture, connecting the team to company core values, promoting engagement and high performance, and upholding Weidmann Leadership Principles.
Create, implement, and ensure accountability for quality policies, guidelines, SOPs, and training materials to meet customer expectations and internal control requirements.
Train employees to conduct quality audits and investigations, leading training workshops and kaizen events for root cause analysis.
What do you bring
4 year University / Bachelors Degree in technical field such as engineering or manufacturing/operations.
8+ years quality manager/leadership role in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.
Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships and aligned partnerships with executives, managers, customers, stakeholders, peers and business partners.
Demonstrated ability to complete projects or initiatives that meet or exceed business objectives.
Strong problem solving skills through disciplined processes (6 sigma, PPAP, etc.) and quality control procedures, best practices.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality systems, implementation and maintenance is required
ISO certifications: ISO45001, ISO14001 along with knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes.
Ability to Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
