Catholic Charities Volunteer Coordinator in St. Cloud, Minnesota

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing volunteer recruitment programs throughout Catholic Charities. This position is responsible for all external marketing of the volunteer program at Catholic Charities. This position works with department/program volunteer coordinators to determine volunteer recruitment needs and assists in the development of programs or methodologies which enhance the effective involvement of volunteers and meet expressed needs of clients, staff, and volunteers. Major Job Responsibilities: * Works closely with outside agencies to advertise, network, and collaborate for volunteer recruitment/outreach by developing communication materials and advertisements, attend volunteer fairs, professional association meetings and other community events. * Establish ongoing relationships with high schools and colleges, community volunteer organizations/associations such as RSVP, United Way, and Volunteer Connection, church individuals/groups, community groups and associations, and businesses/organizations interested in social justice. Recruit volunteers utilizing these developed methods and relationships. * Assists program supervisors in identifying volunteer opportunities in their programs. Ensures that volunteer opportunities are available throughout all programs and services by communicating successful volunteer opportunities, obtaining feedback from supervisors regarding reservations, and responding to volunteer concerns. * Participates in the placement process of volunteers including creation of volunteer position descriptions, managing volunteer applications, interviews, and pre-placement screenings are complete. * Plans special volunteer Appreciation Events within the agency.
