Catholic Charities Senior Dining Expansion and Food Rescue Coordinator ($500 sign on bonus) in St. Cloud, Minnesota

We are offering a $500 sign on bonus for this position! The Expansion and Food Rescue Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with the Program Manager and Senior Dining Food Team, to execute food distribution at events and food collection at businesses as well as working to expand distributions in a 14-county area. The Expansion and Food Rescue Coordinator plans event details and addresses potential problems or scenarios that might impact the integrity of the event if they arise. Job Duties: A. Food shelf and pop-up frozen meal distribution coordination 1. Maintain a record of meals served at each frozen meal distribution 2. Coordinate with the Program Manager to ensure an adequate number of meals and supplies for each frozen meal distribution event are delivered 3. Attend frozen meal distributions as the person in charge. 4. Maintain and update marketing materials for frozen meal distributions 5. Submit marketing requests and work with Organizational Advancement to create marketing materials for the frozen meal distribution events 6. Work with Program Manager to coordinate schedules and shipping for all events 7. Work with Volunteer Coordinator to develop and train a volunteer network for staffing events 8. Manage available freezer space 9. Plan for and order enough meals for distribution 10. Track number of meals available and coordinate replenishment as needed 11. Communicate with the Senior Dining Program Manager on a regular basis to maintain appropriate inventory of vendor meals available for ordering and distributing 12. Manage and record food and meal inventories for Senior Dining Program Manager and Finance 13. Maintain fleet maintenance including, daily monitoring of the Thermo King Units/temperatures, monitoring for routine services such as oil changes and routine maintenance; trouble-shooting breakdowns in vehicles and Thermal King units, coordinating repairs as needed in consultation with the Program Manager. Maintain records of service. B. Service expansion 1. Work with the Senior Dining Program Manager to develop an expansion plan for frozen meal distributions, and monthly reporting. 2. Develop relationships with food shelves, NAPS Coordinators, and other organizations to coordinate frozen meal expansion locations and partnerships 3. Work with Program Manager to create Standard Operating Procedures. C. Food rescue coordination 1. Keep food rescue logs up to date 2. Keep Second Harvest Meal Connect reporting up to date 3. Coordinate with Senior Dining Food Team to pick up and distribute food rescue and product inventory to kitchens and events 4. Coordinate and schedule volunteers to collect and distribute food rescue items 5. Record monthly totals and temps of food rescue items into the Food Rescue database 6. Develop relationships and partnerships with food rescue organizations and restaurants/businesses to expand food rescue within the program Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is responsible for overseeing approximately 150 volunteers for about a total of 4,860 hours a year.
