POSITION: Science of Reading TYPE OF POSITION: Teacher on Special Assignment Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Curriculum and Instruction SUPERVISION: None QUALIFICATIONS: Required * Minimum 5 years successful teaching experience with a current MN teaching license * Knowledge of state standards * Demonstrated excellence in teaching Reading specialist license Preferred * Master's Degree in K-12 curriculum and instruction * Knowledge of high yield instructional strategies * Experience with utilizing EduClimber data management system POSITION SUMMARY: The interventionist will work in partnership with teachers, building leadership, and the Learning and Teaching Department to support student learning in reading and mathematics. The interventionist will collaborate with building MTSS teams, Grade Level Academic Leads and grade level teachers to provide intervention opportunities in reading and math. They will support data analysis to identify students who need additional support and progress monitor students utilizing the EduClimber data management system.
