City of St Cloud Parking and Facility Maintenance Technician in St. Cloud, Minnesota

The City of St. Cloud is seeking a dedicated Parking and Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team! This specialized role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing facilities, properties, and equipment within the parking system. Daily activities include maintaining the inventory of 700 single-space meters and 27 pay stations, as well as performing cleaning and grounds maintenance at five parking garages. Staff are responsible for maintaining pay stations, repairing concrete, removing graffiti, conducting occupancy counts, supporting special events, cleaning up downtown trash, and various other tasks across the Parking System. Independent decision-making and effective interaction with the public and downtown community are essential. Key Responsibilities: Surface Parking Operations: Inspect, maintain, and repair parking meters and pay stations, perform intermediate construction repairs, fabricate parts, and manage snow and ice control activities. Facility and Grounds Maintenance: Clean and maintain public areas and grounds, operate sweepers, and inspect and repair HVAC systems, lighting, and other infrastructure components. Right-Of-Way and Infrastructure: Repair and maintain park fixtures, sidewalks, roadways, and other infrastructure, while managing trash disposal, graffiti removal, and snow and ice control. Revenue Collection: Collect and transport parking revenue, handle tickets, and perform daily parking audits and documentation. Other: Monitor security cameras, respond to alarms, assist with special events and parking projects, and perform additional tasks as needed. Seasonal Duties: Perform overnight ramp washing in May (11 pm to 7 am, for four weeks). Engage in early-morning snow shoveling during winter (starting at 1 am).
