About the Role

Under the direction of the Paint Manager, the Paint Supervisor will support the Paint Techs and Paint Maintenance Techs by providing the guidance and tools they need to be safe and productive. The Paint Supervisor is responsible for the training, safety, well-being, and overall development of the Paint team members. The Paint Supervisor is responsible for the productivity and quality of both paint lines.

Your Responsibilities

  • Review daily paint system analysis logs and ensure operation of the system within defined parameters.

  • Ensure safety talks in pre- and post-shift meetings are being conducted with employees. Ensure department KPI’s-key performance indicators are current and posted.

  • Provide timely coaching, counseling, and feedback to employees through one-on-one sessions, performance evaluations, and regular team meetings.

  • Routinely make visual inspections of emergency evacuations routes correcting any safety concerns immediately.

  • Schedule, supervise, coordinate, and direct the activities of employees to ensure that production levels and quality standards are met. Monitor throughout day and make adjustments to support operations.

Who we are looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, corrosion coatings, or E-Coat. Working knowledge of basic chemistry and lab procedures

  • Capable of learning wastewater treatment

  • Previous leadership role preferred

  • Must possess working knowledge and understanding of quality systems, standards, and procedures

  • Computer skills- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Must have strong team-focused, interpersonal and leadership abilities. Must have good organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Promote continuous improvement programs, strive to maintain and improve productivity.
