POSITION SUMMARY

Our fabricators w ork independently and in concert with others to perform processes necessary to efficiently and effectively fabricate detailed parts. We are seeking motivated individuals to work full-time in our facility, producing parts for some of largest a aircraft manufactures in the world. While experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, the ability to learn and develop skills through on-the-job training is essential. Join our growing team at Sonaca North America!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work safely and adhere to all safety policies.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, returning supplies and equipment to assigned locations.

  • Follow work instructions and perform various tasks in a manufacturing environment.

  • Run equipment and processes safely and efficiently.

  • Conduct checks on equipment and finished products to maintain quality standards.

  • Properly store all materials in assigned locations

  • Operate forklifts, side loader and motorized conveyances, where required

  • Keep equipment and machinery in good condition.

  • Perform and document checks on all equipment, where required

  • Assist and train new employees

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to use elementary measuring tools i.e. micrometer calipers and electronic calipers.

  • Ability to read and understand tolerances on manufacturing drawings is preferred.

  • Demonstrate decision-making ability utilizing good judgment in determining the appropriate guideline, procedure, and application to utilize in solving problems.

  • Understanding of basic math.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection.

  • May occasionally lift and /or move up to 40 pounds.

  • Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.

  • Facility is not climate controlled.
