Boyd Gaming SURVEILLANCE SHIFT MGR in St. Charles, Missouri

What would I be doing?

To protect the assets of ACSC and direct the day to day operation of an assigned shift and Team Members.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures as well as gaming regulations, local, state and federal laws.

  • Notify the appropriate supervisors and the MGC upon the detection and taping of cheating, theft, embezzlement or other illegal activities

  • Supervise and direct assigned shift operations and ensure activities and job duties are being performed.

  • Maintains a positive attitude at all times, supporting the policies of Senior Management of the Casino as well as Senior Management of Ameristar Casino, Inc

  • Knowledge of all departmental policies and procedures, internal controls and all parts of the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) Act. Reports any deviations to the Director.

  • Coordinate Team Member schedules, breaks and PTO to ensure staffing is in compliance with MGC regulations.

  • Advises Observers performance, activities and development to the Surveillance Manager and Director.

  • Coach, monitor, and develop Team members for improved performance

  • Performs verbal and written Team Member coaching.

  • Issues timely performance evaluations on subordinates and offers guidelines and resources to achieve goals

  • Keeps Director informed of all pertinent information regarding the Surveillance department.

  • Provides assigned shift on the job training and conducts training classes as required.

  • Performs all duties required of Surveillance Observers.

  • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity

  • Track Team Member’s attendance in accordance with approved attendance-tracking system

  • All other duties as assigned

  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledgeable of all games that are legal in the state of Missouri.

  • Knowledgeable of all table games dealing procedures.

  • Working knowledge of video equipment and ability to operate the equipment.

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Professional and investigative attitude

  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills and strong time management skills

  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office

  • Must have good organization skills

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays

  • Must have excellent visual acuity which is 20/20 or correctable to 20/20 and the ability to discern subtle color differences

  • Ability to maintain visual focus on various monitors for extended time periods
