What would I be doing?

POSITION SUMMARY

The Restaurant Runner is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external guest. The Runner is also responsible for keeping the guests supplied with appropriate dishware, flatware, food, beverage and paper products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with guests and team member, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers

  • Always find solutions to guests’ problems. Use the guest’s name when appropriate. Thank the guest and invite him or her back.

  • Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and team members, and has the capacity to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with team members.

  • Cleans tables and sets with clean dishes, napkins, silverware, glassware and condiments.

  • Attends to guest’s needs/requests, i.e., refilling beverages, condiments.

  • Checks and stocks clean dishes, napkins, silverware, glassware and condiments in the dining area from time to time during shift to ensure availability of these items.

  • Works as a member of crew, ensuring soiled dishes are removed from dining areas, tables and server areas and delivered to the appropriate cleaning area in the kitchen.

  • Ability to transport trays and/or plates throughout the restaurant, which may weigh up to 50 pounds, as well as serve food items and beverages

  • Is attentive to the needs of guests in a polite and helpful way.

  • Ensures guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responsiveness to guest complaints.

  • Ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout the areas.

  • Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of team members.

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

  • Ability to carry and stock all necessary items and lift up to 50lb.

  • Ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout the areas.

  • Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of team members.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions

Must successfully pass background check

Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening

Must be 16 years of age
