PetIQ Senior Mfg. Cost Analyst in SPRINGVILLE, Utah

The successful candidate will be highly analytical, and detail orientated. Responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packages, variance analysis focused on costing, budgeting/forecasting of department costs and product std costs, and other business activities, as well as providing analysis of information to help support decision making processes. In-depth knowledge of accounting and finance systems, as well as basic computer software. Excellent communicator, with superb presentation and problem-solving skills

Essential Functions/Job Duties

- - Key contributor to recurring reporting packages presented to site and executive leadership teams & responsible for formal presentation of various analysis - Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs - Manage costing in the ERP system, performing daily, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc cost rolls reviewing for accuracy and documenting explanation for changes - Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor - Creating and maintaining advanced financial reports and analysis which will include gathering, evaluating, and analyzing a wide variety of data and information - Assist with the annual budget and quarterly flex processes, specifically in-regards to cost/margin and operating expenses - Works closely with internal customer groups and acts as a resource within the team with process improvement and problem resolution - Evaluating financial impact of certain pipeline, investment, and business development opportunities - Develops procedures which maintain and maximize the usefulness of company systems and works with internal customer groups to implement and evaluate processes - Supporting continuous improvement initiatives as requested by the senior leadership team - As necessary, offer analytical support for departmental projects - Projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- - 5 years of public accounting and/or private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance and internal control areas - Must be able to speak, read and write English

Preferred Qualifications

- - Baseline understanding of auditing, GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404, risk and controls - Baseline understanding of data analysis and information technology techniques - Baseline understanding of fraud prevention/detection/awareness/auditing techniques - Excellent analytical, written communication, interpersonal, listening, interviewing, organizational, consulting, and presentation skills

Education Requirements

- - BA/BS Finance/Accounting or other business-related field

- - Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards - Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
