POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE :

To patrol areas of building, parking lots, and grounds and other properties owned by the owner to assure security, safety and prevent damage to or loss of company and employee property. 

The required shift schedule is as follows:

12 Hour Shifts: 6pm to 6am Friday, Saturday and Sunday

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Checks and secures all locks, doors, and windows.  Ensures roadway gates are secure at beginning of shift.

  • Makes scheduled tours of building and grounds to ensure ancillary systems are operating normally and all areas are secure. 

  • Monitors batching and storage tanks for leaks, also may be required to monitor heating, cooling, mixer speeds etc.

  • Monitor R/O water and piping system for normal pressures, flows etc.

  • Monitors plant compressors, boilers, for alarms, leaks, or unusual noises etc.

  • Monitors CIP room for Chemical leaks of cleaning chemicals.

  • Reports to supervisor or police authorities any unusual or suspicious condition detected.

  • Reports to supervisor any incidence of visitor, driver, or employee actions which could result in injury or loss to company or employees.

  • Logs comprehensive daily reports for GMP and OSHA requirements.

  • May be required to assist in snow removal in parking lots from time to time.

  • Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 0 – 2 years work experience.

  • Ability to work long hours, rotating shifts, and weekends.

  • Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee needs to be able to walk about a 400k square ft building on a frequent basis.  Must be able to stay alert for long hours at a time.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Manufacturing/office environment which may include long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, lifting up to 70 lbs, confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment.
