JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE : The Label Control Specialist provides label movement support to the Quality and Operations areas to ensure that GMP standards, guidelines, and procedures are met and followed. This team member will perform a variety of general duties to assist in the day-to-day operations area providing documentation, labels, data entry, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Control of all incoming and outgoing labels.

  • Maintain label flow through an electronic system.

  • Control of all Quality System Documents. Including development, tracking authorization, and review of the document systems.

  • Standard Operating Procedures and forms

  • Master Manufacturing Records

  • Customer specifications

  • Raw Material Supplier Documentation

  • Develop and maintain master files throughout the document system.

  • Review controlled documents for accuracy.

  • Create Master Manufacturing Records from the production schedule to ensure that batch records are issued in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Provide requested documentation in a timely manner during third party audits.

  • Maintain process flow of assigned production lines to include:

  • Create blending and production batch records.

  • Update specifications and other document changes that may occur.

  • Releasing of Finished Goods upon lab release to meet assigned deadlines.

  • Filing and maintaining archived documents.

  • Cross train in other Quality functions as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Able to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to handle confidential information.

  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with MS Office, specifically Word and Excel.

  • Experience with formulating Excel spreadsheets from basic to complex formulas.

  • Project management skills, including initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing of projects.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective planning and strong organizational skills, detail oriented, with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and recall.

  • Ability to train and certify on all forklifts used in the warehouse environment.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least 1 year of Quality experience in manufacturing. Preference given to experience in FDA Regulations specifically related to Dietary Supplement, Food, and GMP guidelines.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to keep proprietary information confidential is crucial to this position. Long hours, rotating shifts, and weekends may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a manufacturing environment which may include loud noise levels for extended periods of time, long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, lifting up to 70 lbs, confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
