BAE Systems Sr Software Developer/Web Developer in Springfield, Virginia

Job Description

Join BAE Systems Intelligence & Security (I&S) Sector and be a part of an agile team that protects and supports those who protect us. The NGA Gateway West team is looking for a software developer and front-end web developer to assist in our effort in supporting the warfighters. As a software developer, you may:

  • Perform maintenance and sustainment of modified or newly created software to include updating executable code and source code.

  • Conducts test and evaluation activities for software releases

  • Coordinate and support deployment of software, collect user comments and feedback to provide to customer

  • Lead a team of developers and guide them using Agile processes

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance mandatory

  • 3 years of experience in Software Development and systems testing

  • Experience with PHP, JBoss, Tomcat, Linux, Javascript, ColdFusion, and XSLT programming languages

  • Understanding of developing web based systems from dynamic results of a relational database

  • Ability to work independently or with a team (as needed)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to use time-management skills to balance competing priorities and deliver products

  • Understanding of the CI/CD pipeline

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Development and systems testing

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in an associated technical discipline or 5 years of equivalent work experience

  • 2 or more years of experience/familiarity with reading, writing, debugging, updating (maintenance release/updates), and fixing custom software

  • 1 year of software development experience working with NGA and Mission Partner Programs

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Tool suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $111700 - $189900

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
