We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.
The Senior Project Manager will develop, facilitate, manage, and execute project activities from large or complex tasks that may include enterprise systems integration, data maintenance and migration, and other analysis of projects.
Responsibilities:
Capable of managing multi-year engineering projects with geographically dispersed team
Responsible for preparing, updating, and distributing project management products, project reviews, schedules of major milestones and activities, acceptance tests, transition, and closeout documentation.
Evaluates business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
Ability to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with client managers, engineers, and system users
Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
Determines and defines project scope and objectives.
Collaborates with team members to ensure efficiently throughout program
Works closely with the Program's Project Portfolio Manager and government client to develop project estimates (schedules, cost estimates, materials, services, etc.) to meet the client's requirement.
A range of projects may be assigned at a time which may include coordination with various engineering teams, vendors and other non GDIT contract personnel.
Projects may consist of large OS migrations, physical IT hardware relocations, standing up new locations with all the required IT infrastructure and user facing devices, life cycle and device recap projects, etc.
Attends meetings and briefs Senior Government Customers and Contract leadership on the status of projects and efforts
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience required.
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
PMP Certification
BA/BS required
ITIL V3 Foundation currently or V4.
Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) experience
Ability to multi-task and lead teams with minimal supervision
Experience working on complex, multi-faceted projects
Experience working in fast-paced environments where project parameters can change quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
Task order management or similar large effort experience
Experience working with MS Project Server
