KBR NIIST & Certification Service Engineer in Springfield, Virginia

NIIST & Certification Service Engineer

KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the NGA customer in Springfield, VA as a NIIST & Certification Service Engineer. The NIIST & Certification Service Engineer provides support to the NGA Test Organization (NTO) Intelligence Information Support Team (NIIST) accomplishing and overseeing the requirements and processes for providing Certification to Field (CtF) to the NSG/ASG segments going through NTO integration testing. This support includes updating and maintaining the NIIST installation and security verification processes followed by testing enterprise segments, monitors and validates segment installation and security procedures, and conducts the administration of the NTO certification process.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform installation, configuration, updates and technical support of software applications in support of NIIST requirements and certification team prior to testing.

  • Support software installation verification; review and signoff on Request for Services (RFS), observe installation of software prior to test events, providing redlines to test procedures and coordinating updates with system owners.

  • Conduct technical review of installation procedures and artifacts.

  • Prepare, review and submit NGA Intelligence Information Support (NIIS) and Certification packages, Certificates to Field (CtF).

  • Create, update, and maintain NIIS decision summaries, and NIIS process and procedure documentation.

  • Provide input and support to Test and Evaluation (T&E) modernization goals involving evolution of CtF to a “NTO Certified Capability” process.

  • Attend and support test readiness events, TEMs and status meetings.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program; or related equivalent additional experience.

  • Senior-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.

  • Senior-level experience in engineering, design and analysis of IT or related systems experience in all phases of design, development, analysis and documentation, and development of standards and guidelines for tasks being performed.

  • Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.

  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.

Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI (with Poly preferred)
